Are you stuck for great recipe ideas and looking for new tasty ways to enjoy your leftover fruit and veggies? Check out our top ten best smoothie recipes below!

We’ve taken our top 10 smoothies from the year and put them all together for you.

We’ve got everything covered from morning boosters to quick and simple smoothies, and my personal favourite the Double Dose. That’ll really get your taste buds tingling. Ready, set, blend! 

Mango and Matcha Green Tea Smoothie

1. Mango & Matcha Green Tea Smoothie 

First on our top ten smoothie recipe list is the Matcha Green Tea Smoothie. Yup, you heard that right, green tea in a smoothie! Trust me, it’s totally worth it.

The perfect substitute for your morning coffee, or as a light breakfast; filling, energy boosting and all round delicious! 

This recipe is Vegan Friendly.

Recipe will Serve 2.

Prep time: 5 minutes


  • 2 Bananas, Frozen
  • 1 Mango, Chopped
  • 2 Tsp of Matcha Powder
  • 1 Handful of Spinach
  • 1 Cup of Almond Milk
  • 2 Tbsp of Chia Seed Seeds

For an optional extra try: Honey or Agave Nectar as an extra sweetener.

Start by adding the ingredients to a blender, combine until smooth, adding a small amount of ice cubes if you’d like to thicken your smoothie or a small scoop of ice cream!

You can sprinkle some chia seeds on top and drizzle with honey or agave nectar to finish. Delicious.

2. Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

A sweet creamy wholesome smoothie to make it feel like autumn all year round.. and who doesn’t love autumn?! Why not try a twist on the traditional Pumpkin Spice Latte by adding 1 shot of Espresso for that latte taste? 

Recipe will Serve 1.

Prep time:5 minutes


  • Half a Banana, Frozen
  • ½ Cup of Vanilla Almond Milk
  • ½ Tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla
  • ½ Cup of 100% Pumpkin Puree

Optional bonus – 1 scoop of Vanilla Protein Powder 

Put all of the ingredients into a processor and blend until completely combined and smooth. Add a dash more of vanilla almond milk for a lighter smoothie. Pour into a glass and serve with crushed pecan nuts for a more filling smoothie.

If you’re in the mood top with whipped cream for the ultimate feel good smoothie.

3. Gingerbread Smoothie Recipe

This one makes for the perfect drinkable dessert over the winter season and had to be in our top ten smoothie recipes. It is a cold smoothie, so save it for the evenings when you’re inside and cosying up in front of the fire. We call this a comfort smoothie!

Recipe will Serve 2.

Prep time: 5 minutes


  • 1 Cup of Milk
  • 1 Small Apple, chopped and chilled
  • ½ Tsp of Ground Ginger
  • ½ Tsp of Ground Cinnamon
  • Pinch of Ground Cloves 
  • 1 Tsp of Pure Maple Syrup
  • ⅓ Cup of Vanilla Yoghurt or 1 Scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream 
Gingerbread Smoothie

If you’re treating yourself: Add some whipped cream and crumbled ginger biscuits!

Peel your apple and chop into small pieces, then place all of your ingredients into a blender and blend until combined and creamy. Vary the amount of spices in your smoothie to taste, it’s super adaptable!

Ensure you use a sweet variety of apple for this recipe, or alternatively use a banana.

Top with whipped cream and sprinkle crumbed ginger biscuits on top – cosy up with a blanket and a book and sip away.

4. Hot Oaty Mocha Smoothie 

Hot Oaty Mocha Smoothie

This is the only hot option on our top ten smoothie recipes list but with the colder weather it’s nice to enjoy a hot smoothie!

This ones warm, comforting and chocolatey, what’s not to love!

It’s slightly sweet with a caffeine boost and based on one of my favourite coffees – the Mocha. 

Recipe will Serve 1. 

Prep time: 5 minutes


  • 15g of Dark Chocolate 
  • 240 ml of Almond Milk
  • 1 Shot of Espresso or 1 Tsp of Instant Coffee Granules mixed with 2 Tbsp of Water
  • 3 Tbsp of Rolled Oats 
  • ½ a Banana 
  • 8 Hazelnuts 
  • 1 Tsp of Chia Seeds
  • 2 Tbsp of Cold Water 

Drop 40ml of Almond milk into the blender, add the rest to a pan alongside the chocolate and espresso (or espresso mixture) and heat until the mixture is warm and the chocolate has melted throughout. 

Add your oats, banana, hazelnuts, chia seeds and water to the blender and blend until the oats and chia seeds have been completely incorporated throughout. 

Then pour your blended mixture into the pan and thoroughly stir to combine the two mixtures. Slowly heat your chocolate mocha smoothie until hot, but not boiling.

Once heated, add the blended smoothie to a cup and top with a few crushed hazelnuts. 

5. Chocolate Orange Smoothie Recipe

Ahh the sweet taste of chocolate orange, you either love it, or, erm, love it! This recipe uses organic cacao powder to give a strong chocolatey flavour and a healthy spin.

However, you can substitute it for real chocolate for a dessert like smoothie. 

Recipe will Serve 1.
Prep time: 5 mins


  • 1 Large Seedless Orange 
  • ½ a Banana
  • A Small Cup of Plain Greek Yoghurt
  • 1 ½ Tbsp of Cacao 
  • A Handful of Ice
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla
  • ½ Tsp of Cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp of Flax Seeds

Peel your orange and ensure all seeds are removed. Then, place all of your ingredients into a processor and blend until the mixture is completely smooth.

Add extra ice if you would like a thicker smoothie, alternatively, you can also use a frozen banana!

And add your smoothie to a glass and garnish with a slice of orange and sifted cacao

6. Coconut Calmer Smoothie

We’re half way through our top ten smoothie recipes list and up next we have a bit of ‘’Sunshine in a Bowl’.

A nice way to mix up your traditional smoothies by making a smoothie bowl! I wish I could start every morning with a bowl of this goodness. It’s vibrant yellow colour and healthy fresh fruits will leave you wanting more!

Coconut Calmer Smoothie


  • ½ Cup of Greek Yoghurt 
  • ½ Cup of Frozen Pineapple Chunks
  • 1 Tsp of Vanilla Extract 
  • ½ an Orange
  • ½ a Grapefruit 
  • Chia seeds 
  • Coconut Flakes 
  • Chopped Cashews

First, start by placing a handful of coconut flakes onto a baking tray, place these inside a preheated oven at 180’C. Then allow them to lightly toast for a few minutes until browned.

To create your smoothie bowl add the Greek Yoghurt, pineapple, vanilla extract, orange and grapefruit into a blender. Pulse the blender until the smoothie is completely combined.

Share your smoothie between two bowls, and top with extra grapefruit and orange pieces.

To finish, sprinkle with chia seeds, coconut flakes, and chopped cashews. Grab a spoon and get started! 

7. Pineapple-Citrus Smoothie Bowl

Oh-My! I doubled up the ingredients on this one, I just couldn’t stop sipping. This nerve busting smoothie can help you relax due to its levels of magnesium and its probiotics may help to ease anxiety also; did we also mention it’s delicious? 

Recipe will Serve 1.
Prep time: 5 mins


  • ½ Cup of Pineapple Chunks 
  • ¼ Cup of Greek Yoghurt
  • ¼ Cup of Unsweetened Coconut Milk
  • Around ¼ Cup of Orange Juice
  • Half a Banana
  • 1 Handful of Ice Cubes 

Add all of the ingredients to a processor and blend them until the mixture is smooth, for a thicker smoothie add extra ice cubes. For a lighter smoothie add extra orange juice or water to taste.

8. Blueberry & Green Tea Smoothie 

An antioxidant rich smoothie recipe, full to the brim with goodness. Not only is it a healthy, feel-good kinda smoothie it’s also wonderful to sip. A real winter smoothie, to keep you feeling in tip top shape on the cold wet days. 

Recipe will Serve 2.
Prep time: 7 mins


  • 1 Tsp of Green Tea
  • 2 Tsp of Honey
  • 1 ½ Cups of Frozen Blueberries
  • ½  Banana 
  • ¾ Cup of Vanilla Almond Milk
Blueberry & Green Tea Smoothie

Brew your green tea in 4 tablespoons of water heated to 80’C for 2.5 mins. Remove your green tea leaves and stir in the honey.

While the green tea is cooling, add the blueberries, banana and almond milk to a blender, blend until the mixture is smooth. Once cool, add the green tea and honey mixture and blend until completely combined.

Lastly, serve in two glasses and top with blueberries. Amazing, right?!

9. The Double Dose Smoothie

The Double Dose Smoothie

What a kick! An immune boosting winter smoothie, jam packed with vitamins and nutrients to keep you energised all day long. It also looks stunning in a glass!

You need to make this smoothie in two stages so don’t go throwing it all in the blender just yet.

Recipe will Serve 2. 

Prep time: 15 mins


  • 1 Cup of Frozen Mango
  • 1 Lemon, Juiced 
  • ½ Tsp of Ground Tumeric 
  • ¼ Tsp Ground Cayenne Pepper
  • ¾ Cup of Orange Juice
  • 2 Tsp of grated Ginger 
  • A Small Red beet
  • 1 Cup of Frozen Raspberries 
  • A Blood Orange or Grapefruit 
  • ½ Cup of Pomegranate Juice 
  • Honey

Add the mango, lemon juice, turmeric, cayenne pepper, ginger and orange juice to your blender. Blend until smooth, for sweetness add some honey. Pour this mango mixture into a glass.

Then rinse out your blender and add the rest of the ingredients; the beets, raspberries, blood orange/grapefruit and pomegranate juice and blend until creamy.

For a lighter consistency add a dash more pomegranate juice. 

Slowly pour your pomegranate mixture over the mango mixture. Stand pack, appreciate the stunning colours, then get sipping! 

10. Fruit Salad Smoothie 

Number 10 on our top ten smoothie recipe list is the Fruit Salad. This recipe is just that, a fruity spring time smoothie layered on top of a salad smoothie.

Now I know what you’re thinking, salad, in a smoothie, surely not? But paired together – you’ll be smitten with this spring time bliss! 

It’s another layered smoothie recipe, so don’t forget to separate the ingredients… 

Recipe will Serve: 2.

Prep time: 15 mins


  • 1 Heart of Romaine lettuce
  • 1 Granny Smith Apple, Cored
  • 2 Frozen Banana
  • 4 Dates 
  • 2 Tablespoons of Parsley
  • 1 Cup of Orange Juice 
  • 1 Lime, Juiced 
  • 2 Cups of Strawberries 
  • 1 Cup of Rhubarb
  • ½ Cup of Vanilla Yoghurt

To create your salad layer, add the romaine lettuce, apple, a banana, ½ cup of orange juice, 2 dates and parsley to a blender, and process until the mixture is combined.

Share this mixture equally between 2 glasses. 

Once empty, rinse the blender and start creating the fruit layer. Add the rest of the ingredients to your blender, blend until combined. If you like it sweeter you can add agave nectar or honey to taste.

Finally, gently pour your fruit layer on top of your salad layer. Sit back, relax and think about it being spring again.
